Once I finished up my last epic of a post on Dustin’s computer at The Anime Asylum, we went and got grub at Napoli’s, an Italian restaurant. I had the Viva Italia; veal over penne. It was delicious and there was enough that I could not finish in one sitting. Back at The Anime Asylum, I got to try the local favorite stout, Tall Grass Buffalo Sweat.
I headed toward Girard, ended up going off route onto a gravel road for 5 miles, but because of the grid-like road systems in Kansas, I did no extra miles. When I arrived, I wondered around trying to find the City Park. When I eventually did, I still had an hour of sunlight and I was next to a public pool, so I went for a dip. Afterward, Instead of staying in the park as planned, Rob the local swim instructor/lifegaurd put me on his couch for the evening. I was happy to wake up indoors when I saw it pouring rain this morning. I got breakfast at the Peppermill Cafe and now I’m in the library killing time till the lightning subsides.
